Gurgaon: Union minister and local MP Rao Inderjit Singh on Thursday inspected the under construction four-lane U-turn underpass near Ambience Mall on Sirhaul border along with the officials of NHAI and asked the officials to complete the pending work of the underpass soon.
According to the senior officials of NHAI, around 98.67% work of the project has been completed and the rest is expected to be completed by the end of this month. The project was supposed to be completed last year in July but saw several hiccups, including delay in shifting of utilities and a shortage of labourers, among others.
The project was sanctioned by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways at a cost of Rs 90 crores with fund sharing in the ratio of 75:25 between NHAI and Haryana government, DLF, Ambience Mall and MCG, including land cost.
The project consists of a four-lane U-turn underpass near Ambience mall and a three-lane U-turn flyover on the national highway near DLF-2. The U-turn flyover has already been operational since November 1, 2020.
